PENN-YORK COLLEGE NIGHT 

Is held every March at St. Bonaventure University from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Reilly Center Gymnasium.  All collegebound Juniors are encouraged to attend. There will be over 100 college and university admission representatives available to meet with you.

ST. BONAVENTURE UNIVERSITY ENCHANTED MOUNTAIN SCHOLARHIP 

  • Any student interested in attending St. Bonaventure University should see Mr. Vogtli about this scholarship. The Enchanted Mtn. Scholarship is renewable every year of attendance for up to four years, provided a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative gpa is maintained at SBU.  The amount of the scholarship is $12,500 per year ($50,000 total).   Eligibility requirements include:  Students must enroll at St. Bonaventure as a freshman, full-time, undergraduate student in the fall semester.  To be eligible, yo must be a graduate from a high school in Cattaraugus County in NYS, with a high school average of at least 84 and a minimum combined SAT score of 1050 (CR and Math) or a composite ACT score 23.  SBU admissions recalculates high school averages counting academic courses only. You must submit you application to the college prior to February 1, 2007.

THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH @ BRADFORD PANTHER SCHOLARSHIP. 

New, regularly admitted freshmen who are NOT Pennsylvania residents who plan to enroll full-time and reside on campus may be eligible to receive a Panther Scholarship for Out-of-State Students given the following guidelines:

  • Students with a high school GPA of at least 2.5 (with college prep course work) and a combined SAT* score of 920 or greater (ACT score of 20 or greater) are eligible for an annual award of $10,000 each year for up to four consecutive years.
  • Students with a high school GPA of at least 3.0 (with college prep course work) and combined SAT scores of 1100-1199 (ACT score of 24-26) are eligible for an annual award of $10,500 each year for up to four consecutive years.
  • Students with a high school GPA of at least 3.0 (with college prep course work) and combined SAT scores of 1200 or higher (ACT score of 27 or higher) are eligible for an annual award of $11,000 each  year for up to four consecutive years.


  • The Wachovia and College Prowler have partnered to bring your students a $1,000 Monthly Scholarship!

    $1,000 will be awarded to the student that submits the best college application essay. All your students have to do is submit an essay they used for a college application to the College Prowler Wachovia Scholarship. We'll choose the best essay every month and award the winner $1,000!

  • The VERNA HARBECK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.  All collegebound seniors are encouraged to apply.  You may pick up a copy of the scholarship application in the guidance office.  There are between 2 and 5, $500 scholarships offered annually to students in Cattaraugus County.  Basis for winning this scholarship is based on class average, college board scores and letters of recommendation.
