This year we will be studying many aspects of American history from colonial to modern times. As part of our studies we will be watching videos from The History Channel series "America: A History of Us" which chronicles the in depth story of our nation. In addition, several projects throughout the year will revolve around the "America the Beautiful Quarter Series" released by the US Mint, as well Scholastic's "Underground Railroad Interactive Historical Capsule". Ultimately, our goal this year is to not only understand history, but to become a part of it as well.
