Today in the microorganisms in pond water lab we found some AWESOME members of kingdom protista as well as a couple other interesting beasts such as the hydra pictured above - they are very similar to a small fresh water squid with nasty stinging cells in their tentacles called nematocysts - they are killers ! Below are the HYDRA HUNTERS from period 8/9 great job !

In class as part of our circulatory system unit we dissected a freshly harvested deer heart , then I prepared / cooked it up in butter and onions for everyone to try a taste of some EXCELLENT natural , growth hormone - steroid free meat directly from mother nature !!! A huge thank you to Jamie Homan and his mom ( she took a doe with a bow and donated the heart) for giving us this opportunity ! Delicious !
