Welcome back to school! 

I hope you all had a very enjoyable and relaxing summer.  My schedule will be a little different this year.  I will be in my room for most of the day.  If any of my students have any problems or concerns, please, stop in and see me. 

Resource Room 

Resource Room will be about the same as last year.  We will be working on individual goals incorporated into class work and/or homework and increasing readig levels.  Some students will be using the Read 180 program this year.

Because many of my students are on reading level or close to reading level, they will not be doing the complete Read 180 program.  Instead, their spare time will be just simply be listening to an audio book or reading a book.  I am trying to get students to read more often, just for pleasure.  It's amazing how much they improve in both reading comprehension and fluency just by reading a little bit for fun each day. 

Because there will be little time in school for all of the homework, students are going to need to do their homework, on time, either at home or right after school in either the computer lab or in guided study. 

I will also be teaching English 10A, English 11A and English 12A.  Please click on the menu bar to the left to read about each class.
