Resource Room
Resource Room will be different this year. Instead of working on individual goals and incorporating those goals into their class work and/or homework, everyone will be working on increasing their reading level. This will be done through the new Read 180 program. It's fun using different methods and it works.
Because some of my students are right at a reading level where they need to be, they will not be doing the complete Read 180 program. Instead, their spare time will be just simply listening to an audio book or reading a book. I am trying to get students to read more often, just for pleasure. It's amazing how much they improve in both reading comprehension and fluency just by reading a little bit for fun each day.
Because there will be little time in school for all of the homework, students are going to need to do their homework, on time, either at home or right after school in either the computer lab or in guided study.
