Greetings Everyone! This is a place where I'll post all sorts of classroom news. It could be about homework projects, coming events, visitors...anything! Click on the clipart to view the pictures. We used raisins for manipulatives in math today. We were studying Doubles Facts. We couldn't eat the raisins until our lesson was done...tough for some of the kids to wait. Some of them wolfed down the whole box at once...sorry for any bathroom incidences : ) 
Meet Shirley, our mystery pet #2! Social Studies map practice  Charles Tiger inspired spiders.  Firefighter visit  10-18-11 Here are some pictures Mrs. Tracey took of the kids in September while they were making applesauce to share with their families at Open House. YUM. Mrs. Thomas' Peaches & Cream Field Trip Pix 10-11-11 After the visit from the firefighters we had an AWESOME time as we joined Miss Carr's for some firefighter relay races. Follow the link below to see it...still nameless. We'll be voting soon. Making Dinosaurs and Dinosaur Mural 9-22-11 Picture day tomorrow (Friday) in the morning!! Tomorrow is also our Field Trip day to the Randolph Municipal building to see the courthouse in the afternoon. We'll go unless there's a severe thunderstorm... a little rain WON'T stop us : ) 9-20-11 Oh Dear! Mrs. Thomas forgot to put the homework for tonight in the kids' mailboxes today. Enjoy your day off : ) Library Field Trip Practice Field Trip Walk 9-15-11 The kids were working today on science projects during centers. Painting a dinosaur habitat mural with Mrs. Tracey and cutting out leaves, flowers, rocks, etc. with Mrs. Thomas to add to make some parts of the mural 3-D. One of the boys working with me was encouraging a friend who couldn't decide what to do to join him in making a sun. When the second boy began cutting long yellow strips of paper for the rays of the sun, the first boy gave kind words of encouragement: "Good, nice job buddy!" Playground Pictures
