***Go into a little depth about Engineers building things, not getting it perfect on the first try.  They must build, test it out, make changes and rebuild over an over.

After the video give each student a stick

Tell them it is not a stick - but anything they want it to be

Give them a planning page and have them plan what they could turn their stick into - ANYTHING GOES - USE THEIR IMAGINATION

There is some examples on the cart

After planning give out any materials they may need to turn their stick into someting else

(paper, pipe cleaners, straws, tape, glue etc etc)

Take their NOT A STICK creation home
