Pre-K students recently took an Adventure trip to Pumpkinville and got to soak up the sun before the weather got chilly! They had a great time on the wagon ride out to the pumpkin field and were able to pick their own pumpkin to take home. The singing tractor and talking pumpkin were favorites of many. Students also got to enjoy some tasty treats of apple cider and a pumpkin donut!

5th graders embraced fall in WNY with fun Adventures to Whittier Apple Farm and Panama Rocks! Students learned about the history of apples in our region as well as got to see the cider making process in action. They then enjoyed apple cider slushies. At Panama Rocks, students explored the towering rocks, crevices, and passageways. Students worked together to encourage and help each other through tight squeezes and face fears.

Kindergarten went on an autumn Adventure to Allegany State Park last month! They went on a nature hike through the woods, played an I Spy game in the museum, hunted for salamanders, and went on the playground. After finishing at the park, the students stopped at Peaches & Cream where they got to pick their own pumpkin or gourd to take home and learned about different types of apples. When they got back to school, classrooms tasted the different apples and did some apple themed activities. The snapdragon apples were a favorite of many! It was a beautiful fall day spent outside, exploring nature!

DC Meeting
Pre-K students recently connected what they have been learning during National Fire Prevention Week to an interactive and informational Adventure trip to the Chautauqua Safety Village. Students engaged in simulations that focused on preparing them for how to react calmly and quickly in case of a fire. They even got to see Mrs. Querrieo and Ms. Godfrey dress up as firefighters to help them understand that firefighters aren’t scary, but are there to help them. They also learned about parking lot and crosswalk safety which allowed students to get outside and practice these skills in the safety village.
